Guided fly fishing on the river

River fly fishing guide

The river Boyne in Co Meath is one of Ireland’s finest wild trout fisheries. It’s where I caught my first fish at the the age of 7 and it’s one of my favourite rivers in world. The river flows though lush Co. Meath farmland and holds a good stock of brown trout, including some large specimens. Salmon, pike and perch are also present. In summer, dry fly fishing is the most successful method but traditional wet fly and nymphing techniques can be successful on certain stretches.

I can provide all the equipment for your next fly fishing adventure on the river. All levels of fly fishing experience catered for.
